Jellyfish’s Adaptation
Abstract
Social adaptation is a fundamental factor in navigating life and ensuring
survival . Having been raised in a restricted environment where my family did not
permit me to go out independently, I developed a lack of self -sufficiency and faced
difficulties in social interactions. Nevertheless, I aspire to integrate into society like
others. This aspiration is conveyed through artistic expression, reflecting my
imagination regarding social engagement in familiar contexts, such as family and peer
groups, within environments where I have had real-life experiences.
This creative work aims to document and express perspectives on cognitive
adaptation through a personal lens by incorporating environments I seek to engage
with. The jellyfish serves as a symbolic representation of adaptability. The artwork
employs stencil printmaking and silkscreen techniques in a two-dimensional format,
featuring uniquely designed characters. The creative process involves researching
underwater environments and jellyfish, analyzing the distinctive characteristics of
various ecological settings and jellyfish forms, and presenting these insights through
semi-abstract artistic expression.
The anticipated outcome of this work is to offer a perspective on social
adaptation across different social contexts and effectively communicate these
concepts through visual art shaped by personal imagination and interpretation.
