ASSET MANAGEMENT OF RELIGIOUS PROPERTIES IN KOH CHANG DISTRICT, TRAT PROVINCE
Abstract
The purposes of this research were; to study an asset management of religious
properties in Koh Chang, Trat Province, and to study factors affecting the asset
management of religious properties. The study would also provide a suggestion for the
asset management of religious properties.
This research was an mixed method research. The population used in this
study were 30 monks and 13 laymen and board members of temples. Key informants
were the chief of the Koh Chang Buddisht Unit, the secretary of the Buddhist
Education Management Unit in trat Province and 8 abbots of the monastery in the
area of Koh Chang, the Director of the Trat Buddhist Office.
The research found that the asset management of religious properties in in the
area of Koh Chang district, Trat was at high level; factors affecting the asset
management were material, personnel, planning and budget. The research also
showed that more trainings were badly needed for personnel and board members of
temples so that the asset management of religious property could be improved.
