WORK LIFE QUALITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT OF PERSONNEL IN THE OFFICE OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION
Abstract
The objectives of this research aim to study the level of quality of work life
of Personnel in the Office of the Higher Education Commission; to study the level
of organization commitment of Personnel in the Office of the Higher Education Commission;
to make a comparison between the officials' quality of work life based on personal
factors; to make a comparison between the officials' organization commitment based on
personal factors; to study determine the relationship between quality of work life and
organizational commitment of officials’ in the Office of the Higher Education Commission; and
Provide guidelines for enhancing the quality of working life of officials’ in the Office of
the Higher Education Commission.
This research is mixed methods research, quantitative research collects data
using questionnaires from the personnel of the Office of the Higher Education Commission,
totaling 178 people and data analysis by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation,
t-test, variance and Pearson's correlation coefficient. As for qualitative research, studies
from documents. In-depth interviews. Key informants are executive office of the Higher
Education Commission a total of 5 people analyzed data with inductive analysis.
The results of the study were as follows : personnel have a quality of working life at
a moderate level; personnel with moderate organizational commitment; personnel with
gender, age, marital status, government age, salary rate and different positions have
different quality of life; personnel with gender, age, marital status, government age,
salary rate and different positions have different organization ties; quality of work life is
related to organizational commitment; guidelines for enhancing the quality of work life,
including welfare training and volunteer activities.
