FACTORS RELATED TO THE SUCCESS IN IMPLEMENTATION SMOKING PREVENTION AND SMOKING CESSATION FOR YOUTH OF HIGHHER EDUCATION INSTITUITION IN HUAHIN DISTRICE PRACHAUBKIRIKHAN PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to; accesses the Success in implementation smoking prevention and smoking cessation for Youth in Education Institution; examine the relationship between demographic factors and the implementation success of the smoking prevention and cessation policy for youth in education Institution; and explain relationship between factors related to policy implementation and the success in implementing the smoking prevention and cessation policy for youth in Education Institution. The study employed quantitative survey design. The samples include 251 undergraduate students of higher education Institution in HuaHin district Prachuabkirikhan province. Data were collected with questionnaires. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics in mean and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics by using Chi square and Pearson correlation. Result revealed that success in Implementing the smoking prevention and smoking cessation for youth in education institutions was at high level overall mean 3.66;The demographic factors were not correlated with the implementation success of the smoking prevention and smoking cessation policy for youth in education institutions; The factors related to policy Implementation were positively correlated with the success in implementing the prevention and smoking cessation for youth in higher education institutions at .01 significance level.
