THE SUCCESS IN IMPLEMENTING THE PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION POLICY AGAINST COUNTERFEIT AND PIRATED PRODUCTS IN HUA HIN DISTRICT, PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN PROVINCE
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to; investigate the success in implementing the
prevention and suppression policy against counterfeit and pirated products in Hua Hin
District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province; compare the implementation success of the prevention
and suppression policy against counterfeit and pirated products in Hua Hin District,
Prachuap Khiri Khan Province; examine the relationship between the influencing factors
in implementing the prevention and suppression policy against counterfeit and pirated
products in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province and the implementation success.
This study employed a quantitative design. The sample included 398 general public
in Hua Hin District. Data were collected with questionnaires and statistically analyzed using
mean, percentage, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA, and t-test.
Results revealed that; the general implementation of the prevention and suppression
policy against counterfeit and pirated products was high with a mean of 3.73; the sample, by
demographics, perceived the implementation of the prevention and suppression policy against
counterfeit and pirated products differently at the .05 significance level; the implementation success
of the prevention and suppression policy against counterfeit and pirated products were
positively correlated with the influencing factors of the implementation success of the
prevention and suppression policy against counterfeit and pirated products at the .01
significance level.
