HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR THE EQUALITY OF EMPLOYEES WITH GENDER DIFFERENCES AND THE REDUCTION OF CONFLICTS IN PHETCHABURI PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZATION
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to examine the acceptance situation
towards employees with gender differences in the management of human
resources at Phetchaburi Provincial Administration Organization; influencing
factors and contexts of human resource management for the equality of
employees with gender differences and ; impacts on the human resource
management when unfair treatments occurred to the employees with different
genders in Phetchaburi Provincial Administration Organization.
This study employed a qualitative design. Data were collected through
the reviews of documents and evidence, non-participant observations, and indepth
interviews. Thirteen key informants included employees with gender
differences in Phetchaburi Provincial Administration Organization. The data were
analyzed with a thematic analysis.
Findings revealed that the acceptance situation towards employees with
gender differences was at a high level as although some organizational
administrators were found biased against individuals with gender differences, the
human resource management of the organization reflected that almost every
sampled employee was treated equally and fairly by the organizational
administrators; the influencing factors and contexts of human resource
management for the equality of employees with gender differences included
recruitment, access to a high-ranking position, and opportunities for selfdevelopment
training and ; the impact on the human resource management
when occurred to the employees with different genders in Phetchaburi Provincial
Administration Organization was the unequal professional advancement that the
employees with gender differences received when compared to male or female
civil servants, especially when progressing towards senior administrative positions.
