The objectives were to assess the current level of potential development on operations for police officers in the Royal Police Cadet Academy; to assess the needs for potential development on operations; compare the needs for potential development on operations by personal factors; and offer a potential development guideline on operations for police officers in the Royal Police Cadet Academy. This study employed a mixed-methods design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires. The sample included 234 police officers in the Royal Police Cadet Academy. The data were statistically analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. Qualitative data were collected from relevant documents and in-depth interviews. Eight key informants included commissioned police officers with an administrative rank. The obtained data were analyzed with an inductive analysis. Findings revealed that; the overall level of potential development on operations for police officers in the Royal Police Cadet Academy was moderate (x̅ =3.25); the overall level of needs for potential development on operations among the police officers was extremely high ( x̅ = 4. 35) and the need on training was the highest; the comparison analysis on the needs for potential development on operations indicated that different personal factors yielded indifferent potentialdevelopment needs; and the potential development guideline on operations comprised training which included needs assessment being supported, training being consistently provided, and budgets being adequately allocated; education which included further education for higher qualifications being supported as selfdevelopment as well as scholarships being granted; and development which included organizational development being encouraged through the enhancement of English language skills, morality and ethics.en_US
