THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CREATION OF COMMUNITY LIFE POLICY ACCORDING TO THE SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSPHY, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE AREA OF LAO KHWAN DISTRICT, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE
Abstract
The objectives were to describe the current situation of the implementation of
the creation of community life policy according to the sufficiency economy philosophy;
and to propose a proper model for implementing the creation of community life policy
based on sufficiency economy philosophy, in the context of Lao Khwan District,
Kanchanaburi Province.
Employing qualitative methodology, researcher assessed a case study by the
inductive analysis from the documents, in-depth interviews, and focus group. The key
informants consisted of 32 people, namely, government officials, and people who were
the stakeholders.
Findings revealed that the current situation of the policy implementation
included the relevant departments assigned a number of additional urgent missions,
causing an obstacle to policy implementation; and the leader communicated for policy
implementation by abstraction, leading to difficulty to understand; and a proper model
for policy implementation consisted of flexible activities and operation timing that can
change by the area context; an easy-to-understand information by government officials;
law amendments and regulations; and increasing diversity of household careers.
