dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research was to (1) study the current state of executive
development to achieve results based management in the municipalities in
Songkhla province; (2) study the programs of executive development to achieve
results based management in the municipalities in Songkhla province; and (3)
propose the executive traits to achieve results based management in the
municipalities in Songkhla province.
This research is a mixed method research. Data of the quantitative research
were collected through in-depth interviews. The key informants were 24 political
executives and executive officers from the municipalities in Songkhla province. That
data was then analyzed by means of content analysis. Data of the qualitative
research were collected using a questionnaire. The samples were 320 officers from
the municipalities in Songkhla province. That data was then analyzed using
descriptive statistics methods, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard
deviation and One-Way ANOVA.
The results revealed the following: 1) The current state of executive
development in the municipalities in Songkhla province was at a high level. 2) The
municipalities in Songkhla province promotes executive development to achieve
results based management through network relationships, transformational
leadership, public service, digital and English language skills, management skills,
and organizational performance. 3) The executive traits of the municipalities in
Songkhla province were accountability, responsiveness, professional, innovative
vision, and democracy. | en_US |
