ZERO WASTE MANAGEMENT BY MULTI PARTICIPANTS IN HUAHIN MUNICIPALITY PRACHUABKIRIKHAN PROVINCE
Abstract
This research aimed to explore firstly the roles of multi participant on Zero
Waste management secondly the comparison among affecting factors of the successes of
zero waste management with the successes considered by demographic factors; the
correlation among affecting factors of the successes and lastly the proposal on the model of
zero waste management by multi participants of HuaHin Municipality and other local
administrative organizations.
This was a sequential mixed method consisting of qualitative and quantitative
approaches. Key informants for in-depth interview were 27 persons. The sample size of 850
was from Yamane principle stratified and accidental random were used in content analysis
and interpretation were analytical means for qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis based
on descriptive statistics, percentages, mean and standard deviation, while inferential statistics
were T test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson R and Multiple Regression.
The result were as follows; the roles of multi participants toward zero waste
management were at a moderate level; there were statistical significant differences
among respondent’s attitudes toward successes model of zero waste management; affecting
successes factors of zero waste management were positive correlated with successes
model of zero waste management, and could forecast the variation of successes at 41.6
percent and; the successes model of zero waste management composed of Municipality’s
Policy Formulation and implementation on zero waste management, multi-participation
on zero waste management, application of 3Rs concepts for waste management, roles
of multi participants on zero waste management.
