    Abstract
    This study is aimed to study: context or conditioned impinging upon poverty of farmers in the Central Plains; problem resolution on proverty using main stream economic principles; problem resolution on proverty of farmers through alternative choices; approaches towards problem resolution on poverty of farmers along sufficiency economy The research methodology used herein is qualitative in nature case study via the study of documentaries, concepts, theories, relevant research pieces and an indepth interview. Key informants consist of community leaders, village scholars and knowledgeable farmers who understand of sufficiency economy very well sampling was carried out by purposively nicked up, not using probability theory, totaling 30 persons It was found from the study that: contexts or conditions affecting poverty of the farmers in the Central Plains were four folds: natural disaster, socioeconomic characteristics both individual and communal levels; Problem resolution on proverty via main stream economy principle affecting poverty of the farmers in Central Plains very severely leading to more poverty; Problem resolution on proverty via alternative paths responds to the needs of people, development emerging from local wisdom, development that characterizes self-help and helping each other in the community and development that case for and conserve for environments; approaches towards problem resolution on poverty of farmers along sufficiency economy a la sufficiency villages supported by government policy were able to solve the problems of one village to the others sustainably.
