The objectives of the research study, The community’s master plan to promote agro-cultural
tourism base on spatial configuration and socio-cultural network of rubber planters, a case study of
Khuanjong village, Namom district, Songkhla province, are as follows. Firstly, the research to study and
analyze physical, social and cultural characteristics of rubber planters in Khuanjong village, Namom
district, Songkhla province. The second objective is to analyze and test relationships of spatial
configuration and socio-cultural networks, related to development the Khuanjong Village’s
masterplan. The third objective is develop the Khuanjong Village’s masterplan to promote agrocultural
tourism that can support future expansion and urbanization. This was conducted using
secondary data obtained from documents, statistics, maps, satellite images and aerial photographs,
used to analyze with overlapping techniques, the Space Syntax program analysis, survey, an interview,
and workshops. The results show that The Khuanjong Village’s masterplan to promote agro-cultural
tourism base on spatial configuration and socio-cultural network of rubber planters ; consists of 4
projects, ( 1) Tourism area development and activities development plan (2)Tourism route networks
development and accessibility tourism area plan (3) Tourism land use plan (4) Tourism management
and amenities plan. Research suggestion for spatial planning, government plans and policies should
focus on agricultural communities, agricultural area, physical elements, ecology systems, traditional
houses and transportation systems, etc., as well as people with a way of life, culture, and traditions
related to agricultural systems. In addition, the government sector should focus on the community’s
master plan to promoting agro-cultural tourism of rubber planters, by allowing the community to
participate in all process, to reflect knowledge and understanding readiness as well the need for
support tourism.
