dc.description.abstract	The research aimed to study (1) roles of the elder in community development by Roles of the elders in community development at Tubtai Sub-district, Huahin Districrt, Prachuap Khiri Khan, ( 2) public opinion regarding the roles of the elder in community development. The samples were 293 senior residents at Tubtai Sub-district, Huahin Districrt, PrachupKhiri Khan. Questionnaires were employed as data collection tools. Statistical means were percentage, mean, standard deviation,T-Test, One way ANOVA. The research found that 1) the elder played an important role in community development especially in education, religion, art and culture, 2) demographic factors did not affect public opinion regarding the roles of the elder people in community development.	en_US
