The Trends of Selecting New Programs for Bachelor’s at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin of High School or Equivalent Anan Tiewtoy; Surakij Prangsorn; Matungkorn Suteeworn This study covers about the trends of students selecting New Programs for Bachelor’s at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. The objectives of the study were 1) Needs of studying in New Programs for Bachelor’s; 2) Reasons for selecting Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. The selected samples were high school students (Grade 12) and Vocational Certificate Students (Year 3). The samples were randomly selected by using the process of Proportional Stratified Random Sampling and used 400 samples. Guidance teachers used purposive sampling to select 176 students from the total samples. The statistics used were frequencies, percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D.) by using computer program. The results explained that students are interested in studying in the New Programs was in high level. However, if considering in separated course, the courses with highest level of needs were Poh-chang Academy of Arts, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business Administration, and Faculty of Architecture and Design. If considering in subjects, the subjects with highest level of needs were Petrochemical Engineering, Digital Design and Accessories Design. The reasons that students would like to select Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin were available courses provided, quality of teachers, guidance teachers suggested, to continue family business, and easy to travel, respectively. For the guidance teachers, the demand of opening New Programs is in high level. When considering in courses, the courses with highest level of demands were Faculty of Engineering, Poh-changAcademy of Arts, Faculty of Industry and Technology, Faculty of Hotel Industry and Tourism, and Faculty of Architecture and Design. When considering in subjects, the subjects with highest level of demand were Industrial Engineering, Advertising and Multimedia Technology, Accessories Design, and Costume Design. The reasons that guidance teachers suggested their students to study at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin were need from parents, university’s reputation, variety of faculties available, location, and cost which is lower than others universities, respectively.
